The Greatest Shared Screen Title You've Likely Never Tried Is Coming to Switch

Wizard of Legend II, a procedurally-generated journey featuring wizards striving to become renowned heroes, is coming to the Switch before month's end. It will be accessible the 25th of November, providing fans of shared-screen experiences a second chance to check out among 2025's most impressive additions in this category.

A Rocky Beginning

Wizard of Legend II has followed the trajectory of several lesser-known games. The development team made it available in early access in the fall of 2024 on Windows PC, ahead of releasing it in full, together with PS5 and Xbox editions, in June 2025. At launch, it faced heavy criticism. Just 29 percent of its audience ratings are complimentary. The Steam reviews were "varied", based on almost 2,000 evaluations, with a lot of players highlighting the general lack of polish and litany of bugs at launch. Gamers on PlayStation and Xbox further lambasted that the co-op feature, a huge selling point for the release, was largely non-functional.

Steady Refinements

However like several early access releases that launch in imperfect forms, Wizard of Legend 2 has gotten better. Over the past few months, the creators have deployed a series of patches aimed to resolve these problems. Having played Wizard of Legend 2 more than any recent title recently, it's safe to state its functionality has improved relative to upon release (on Xbox Series X, at least). It's hit the stage where nine times out of ten, I can actually get a cooperative run to work. Quite an improvement!

If It Operates, This Game Shines

Furthermore if Wizard of Legend II operates, it performs excellently. Using an isometric view, you fight through element-based levels by using magic in action-oriented mechanics. Lots of sprinting, plenty of dodging, plenty of timing abilities. This game is dizzyingly fast-paced and highly imaginative; when you mix and match your abilities alongside a partner's, you can create powerful synergies.

Nintendo Switch Edition Information

While the Switch version has not been comprehensively reviewed, it's worth noting the notoriously rigorous quality standards for Switch games. Its creators mentioned publicly that the Nintendo release of The Wizard of Legend Sequel features each improvement that were implemented recently.
